Artist Talk: Teo Eng Seng

Artist Teo Eng Seng seeks to open up questions in four areas about the Singapore art scene: first, the state of Art, the position of the Artist, the mode of promoting artists and the issue of art collecting.

Teo aims to address these aspects through a critical lens, to get the audience thinking about the direction that the Visual Arts scene is gravitating towards. How do they feel about the direction? He treats these issues with significance, in affecting the development of the visual art scene.

Teo was a recipient of the Cultural Medallion in 1986 for his contributions to Visual Arts. He is still active with his art practice and continues to contribute to the arts community.
